Malawi School Lunch - Nsima and Beans

Country: Malawi

Contents: Nsima (equivalent to finely ground grits), kidney beans, and African cabbage

Source: Rebecca M.

Notes: "Here’s the lunch we served in school in Malawi, in a little village a few hours outside of Lilongwe called Chim’wang’ombe. Their lunch is nsima (which is equivalent to finely ground grits), kidney beans, and African cabbage (which has a pleasant spicy bite to it). Each child shares a plate of food with one other child."
